Tracking

“Introduction into Tracking I” is a 6 week course ($150.00 / 1 hour per week). Followed by “Tracking II” (6 week).

Tracking is something that all dogs can do. It is a natural instinct for a dog to use his sense of smell. Handlers learn to read their dog’s body language which in turn enables them to trust their dog’s nose and follow them into the unknown. A dog is “tracking” when he is following the scent trail or disturbed vegetation scent, left by a person (or other animal) that has travelled along a certain route. Following a track is one of the many useful things dogs can do to help people. Hounds track game, rescue dogs track lost children, police dogs track suspects, well trained pets can find lost items. Class size is limited to 8 dogs.
